San José to La Fortuna Rafting on the Sarapiqui River Class 2-3
Our Class 2-3 rafting on the Sarapiqui River is perfect for all nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and people who are looking for an easy-going adventure!
We'll pick you up at your hotel in the San Jose Metropolitan Area and travel to Sarapiqui starting out in a beautiful waterfall on the Pozo Azul River. Here you and your family can enjoy the nature and cool crystal clear water that the waterfall offer's you. Then we'll head towards our private put-in located in San Miguel of Sarapiqui to let the jorney continue to be an unforgettable day.
Your professional guide will start the day off by providing paddling and safety instructions and then suiting you up with safety gear to prepare for your adventure! Challenge yourself as you paddle down 11 kilometers of exciting rapids with names like “Congo Loco” and “Morning Coffee.”
As you descend down the river, you’ll have a chance to admire the lush greenery, vines, and different types of insects, birds and animals, like monkeys and sloths. About half way down the river you’ll have a chance to see the river rapids from the shore, while enjoying fresh tropical fruit and relaxing with the rest of your group!
Then, after your rafting journey, you’ll take out right at our own restaurant Red-Eyed Frog located right on the Sarapiqui river - complete with changing rooms, showers, and a cool Caribbean vibe!
Enjoy an unforgettable homemade lunch before heading to your next vacation destination in our comfortable air-conditioned van with FREE WiFi.
Our Adventure Connections offer flexibility and convenience when traveling between the San José Metropolitan Area and the Arenal Volcano. We include pick-ups from nearly all San José major hotels and AirBnBs and there is no additional charge for pick-ups and drop-offs in Alajuela. You will love this Arenal Rafting tour! You can also choose to do the slightly-less-adventurous Safari Float on the Sarapiqui River filled with wildlife!
For reasons beyond our control (climate, river levels, etc.), we may change to a more-suitable tour with an equal or similar adventure-appeal or offer other tour options. We reserve the right to cancel a trip due to unfavorable conditions and will only run a tour according to our company policies. Full refund is given if (on rare occasion) no tour is run.
