GRAVITY FALLS Nina Rios - June 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM
The gravity falls tour was the most awesome tour I have done so far!! It is packed with adrenaline, fun, and amazing views of the rainforest. I did the tour with my husband this June 2015 on our honeymoon. It was just us two so it ended up being a private tour which was even better. We had David and Edward as our guides. They were energetic and fun guides. They kept cheering us on for support and even did cool tricks when jumping into the water. The view of rappelling next to a waterfall and into the base of the falls is indescribable. There was even somewhat of a tarzan swing which was fun. It was such a fun and memorable tour. Everything about it was natural, no fake stairs, or ropes to hang onto while hiking to get to the jumps. All in all amazing!! if you like adrenaline, adventure, and getting wet this is definitely for you. We had pineapple at the end of the tour and then they drove us to a soda place to get some food which was included in the price. We would definitely do this again next time we are in CR.

This was a highlight of all our activities in Costa Rica. The staff were wonderful and the experience was at the very top. The beauty of the rainforest really comes alive on this adventure as you are literally made a part of it. The food was excellent typical (local) food and capped off an amazing adventure. I cannot recommend this company and this adventure enough. Thank you Desafio.
SARAPIQUI Pat Fettes - January 13, 2016 at 9:00 AM
Our foursome booked a Class 3-4 rafting trip on the Sarapiqui River in Costa Rica. None of us had rafted before. The guides were professional and fun, we all felt we could handle the trip after our training. Our guide, Jorge, said he had worked on this river for 9 years--he was great! The trip was thrilling! And they fed us a great lunch. All four of us ranked the raft trip at the top of our CR adventures, and we had many great experiences during our week there.
MAMBO COMBO Becky - April 19, 2016 at 9:50 PM
We just got back from Costa Rica and went on the Mambo Combo tour on our second to last day there. It was PHENOMENAL. My husband and I are pretty adventurous and have done a lot of things from Sea-trekking to Ziplining to Parasailing, etc. but the Canyoneering/Rappelling experience was simply awesome! Probably my favorite thing I've ever done. It's a mix between rappelling, climbing down rocks, and flat out "hiking" through the river. Whitewater Rafting was also a blast, and we had a great trip down the Balsa River with Jordan. Jorge was another one of our guides on the whitewater rafting part, and he was great, too. All in all, this was probably the best tour on our whole trip, and we had a pretty amazing trip altogether. We also added a hot springs "tour" to this day, so the guides/bus driver were accommodating and dropped us off at the hot spring on the way back to the hotels rather than going back for another transport; it made for a nice top-off to our long, exerting day! I would HIGHLY recommend Desafio tours and will most definitely be using them whenever I go back to Costa Rica!

The Mambo Combo was recommended to us and it did not disappoint!!! The four of us (ages 51, 46, and two 15 year old girls) ALL had a blast. Our guides were terrific - professional and playful. They kept us laughing and made even challenging parts of the day seem safe and manageable.

From the beginning of the trip until the very end, we spent our time laughing and having a blast on our rafting adventure! The trip was a first for a couple of us, but our guides were very thorough in their instructions and made the trip a memorable one, from the team Pura Vida "high 5s" to the fast paced rapids. We had wonderful time!! We voted this our top adventure experience during our week in Costa Rica. A special thank you to Hernan, we hope to see you on our next vacation. Mucho Gusto! Kevin, Pam, Erika and Alex Bishop

Every day I try to learn something new about someone on our Team Desafio. Chats around the coffee maker or lunch time reveal fascinating tidbits about the lives of the people in our company who are more like family to us.
The First Adventure Alone as a New Parent! by Tui Frye, Events Planner
I have a soon-to-be- three year old daughter and I also have a confession to make. We have never really left her with anyone. There have been a few occasions that we have left her with friends or family for very brief bits of time, but other than that she has always either been with me, her Dad or both of us. And it was time.
On my days off I love going home. My last day off I went and did a few things I have never done before. My mother wanted me to go walk with her and dad around our family's property. I am not so into waling through orange, yuca, avocado, and papaya plants, especially because I don't like the mud nor the mosquito bites you get while you're going through these plantations. But just to make my mother happy and spend some time with my biggest heroes, I ignored all that and joined them.
