We’ll pick you up from your Monteverde hotel and take you to Sky Adventure’s headquarters to embark on an adventure of a lifetime! Start your day off with a relaxing ride up a mountain by an open-air Sky Tram gondola. The spectacular view will get wider and more breathtaking as you get higher up onto the mountain.
When you reach the observation platform at the top, you’ll realize that you really are in for a treat. Admire the amazing nature on your journey across 10 cables that reach between 40 to 100 meters high and up to 750 meters long. This is an amazing Monteverde ziplining adventure!
You won’t want to miss out on an adventure like this! Then, unwind the adrenaline and experience a more tranquil, scenic experience above the rainforest canopy with a guided Sky Walk across the hanging bridges. Designed for bird-watchers and nature lovers alike, the hanging bridges offer stunning views of the cloud forest and it’s inhabitants.

Both tours will provide you with an adventure of a lifetime and you’ll be guaranteed to leave with lots of memories -- the perfect Monteverde for families tour to share with your friends and family back home!

Weight and size restrictions: Max 220 pounds with a maximum waist of 42 inches (120 cm) and maximum thigh of 31.5 inches (80 cm).
For reasons beyond our control (climate, river levels, etc.), we may change to a more-suitable tour with an equal or similar adventure-appeal or offer other tour options so you don`t miss out on a fun day in Costa Rica. We reserve the right to cancel a trip due to unfavorable conditions & will only run a tour according to our policies. Full refund is given if (on rare occasion) no tour is run. This adventure involves some inherent risk and physical exertion, so you must be in good physical condition!
While the recommended weight limit for our canyoneering (rappelling) tour and most zip line tours is 220 lbs (100 kilos) it’s more about waist size than weight as the ropes (canyoneering) and cables (zip lines) are rated for well over 220 lbs but the maximum waist size for the harnesses used for these tours is 42 inches. So if you are a little over 220 lbs but your waist is less than 42 inches you can still do these tours.

Our absolute favorite part about this tour was the walking portion of the cloud bridges with our tour guide, Andres. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the plants, insect, and animal life in the forest and took the time to try to teach us as much as humanly possible about the unique environment there. He was friendly, made jokes, and had fun with it and it made the experience incredibly enjoyable.
As for the Gondola/Zip Lining portion of it - Desafio should inform you to WEAR LAYERS! It gets COLD up there and there are few days with sunlight at the top of the mountain and a lot of wind. I think if we had been aware of the stark change in climate and had been better prepared we would have enjoyed it more. The actual activities were a lot of fun but would have definitely been made better with the appropriate attire - a rain jacket and yoga pants just didn't cut it.
