Tenorio is an off-the-beaten-path region at the base of the Tenorio Volcano that skirts the Tenorio and Corobici Rivers located in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica. Many tourists stop by our Tenorio Adventures Route 1 Restaurant right on the PanAmerican Highway outside of the town of Canas for some delicious, home style-cookin. While traveling between the Pacific Coast and other parts of the country like Puerto Viejo or the Arenal Volcano many people take a rest stop here to enjoy the sights and activities that this region has to offer.
We recommend taking advantage of the Tenorio River because it is famous for whitewater rafting and safari floats. The Tenorio National Park is also a sight to see as it is the home to many types of tropical wildlife and the Tenorio volcano. There are many up and coming things to do in the area such as plenty of hot springs locations such as Termalmania and the exclusive Rio Perdido adventure complex. This area is unlike anything you'll see and experience in Costa Rica because of its "Out-West" rugged cowboy feel and spectacular Arizona-esque red rock desert features.
