General Information About Mini Combo Arenal Volcano + La Fortuna Waterfall

Experience two of La Fortuna Arenal Volcano's top attractions in one exhilarating day with our Arenal Mini Combo Tour!

If you're looking for a fun-filled day immersed in nature while enjoying two of the area's most renowned attractions, this Mini Combo Tour is perfect for you. Dive into the heart of Arenal National Park, one of the closest locations to the Arenal Volcano, for a leisurely and informative hike in a nature reserve. Follow it up with an incredible lunch next to the El Salto Swimming Hole and Waterfall, and then cap off your day with a visit to the La Fortuna Waterfall.

Arenal National Park ranks among Central America's most popular parks. Its trails are known for their gentle gradients, making them ideal for an informative and easygoing hike alongside our expert naturalist guides. As we venture through the jungle, you'll traverse well-maintained paths that skirt the Arenal Volcano's base. Our keen-eyed guides will introduce you to the diverse flora and fauna of Costa Rica while sharing insights into the nation's culture, history, and the dramatic volcanic eruption of 1968. This area, once ravaged by lava, has since flourished into a lush forest teeming with biodiversity. At both observation platforms, you'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of the mighty Arenal Volcano, the pristine Lake Arenal, and the dormant Cerro Chato volcano. This is the closest you can get to the Arenal Volcano's base and offers the perfect opportunity to capture remarkable photos!

Following your National Park adventure, we'll head to the El Salto Hunters & Gatherers restaurant for a sumptuous all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. Afterward, it's off to the iconic La Fortuna Waterfall! Upon arrival at the entrance, you'll have time to change into your bathing suit if you wish to cool off beneath the waterfall. Be prepared for a satisfying workout as you navigate over 300 steps to descend to the waterfall's base and another 300 to ascend. Once you reach the bottom, you'll have ample opportunities to snap photos and take a refreshing dip in the cool waters of one of Arenal's largest and most awe-inspiring waterfalls before returning to your hotel.
