Desafio: To Challenge To Explore To Inspire, or is it.... Desafio: To Challenge to Explore To CHANGE LIVES?
After last week's challenging canyoneering tour, I think the latter is correct.
Sonja D. from the United States wrote us a thank you letter explaining her challenging and life changing experience in our Lost Canyon. She says "It was really important for me to do the waterfall rappelling. But, our first attempt at the tour resulted in me having a panic attack".
She didn't end up completing the tour as it was intended to be, but the guides helped her through, allowing her to still enjoy parts of the tour like a small cliff jump, the canyon's surprise "Tsunami" and maneuvering through the rocky canyon. She was happy but didn't feel right because she didn't complete what she set out to do.
Sonja says "The following day (after the tour) I felt like I had failed and needed to go back (and do it again)."
And so she went back to the Lost Canyon and successfully completed the whole tour, including the most challenging parts like the 200 ft waterfall rappel! " It was a LIFE CHANGING experience that I so desperately needed." says Sonja.
We are so proud of Sonja and all of the people that go on this tour, because it really is Costa Rica's MOST Extreme Tour.
We sometimes see clients hesitating at the top of the waterfalls before they rappel and we know that those are the people that may have the most transformative experiences. They are the ones who have the potential to overcome what is holding them back: fear.
This is why people leave this tour so refreshed and energized. There is something about facing your fear leaves you feeling inspired and renewed. And jumping off a cliff can be that symbolic "leap of faith" you may have been looking for in your life.
AsEliomar Duran Vargas, the Canyoning Leader says " On this tour you can't think, you just have to do it. Don't let the fear control you. And when you are at the bottom you will be so happy and proud of yourself for doing something you never thought you could do."
