The culture-and-nature-centric Adventure Connection San Jose - La Fortuna with a visit to the La Paz waterfall, the Poas Volcano, and a local coffee plantation has gotten a makeover.
With the recent activity of the Poas Volcano and the subsequent closing of the Poas Volcano National Park, some logistical changes needed to be made to this classic Adventure Connection. While the Poas Volcano remains closed to visitors, adventurers looking to experience Costa Rica’s stunning natural beauty will be redirected from the Poas Volcano National Park to the Arenal Volcano National Park Peninsula.
The newly made over Adventure Connection (as well as the San Jose Day Tour with the same tour combo) begins with a breathtaking photo opportunity in front of the La Paz waterfall. It is a popular spot with plenty of nature and a spectacular view of the waterfall.
The experience continues on with a coffee tour and lunch break at Mi Cafecito. Adventurers will learn about the planting, harvesting, and preparation of one of Costa Rica’s most important exports and cultural staples: coffee. Afterward, they’ll continue the cultural immersion with a delicious lunch served in the traditional casado style.
Once everyone has finished eating, the tour continues on to the Arenal Volcano National Park Peninsula. Here, adventurers will enjoy a guided nature tour through the Arenal Volcano Peninsula with excellent views of the Arenal Volcano. It’s the perfect place for explorers to immerse themselves in nature!
When the Poas Volcano National Park reopens, the stunning Poas Volcano will once again be featured as a pilar of this tour and the Arenal Volcano National Park Peninsula nature hike will be available to families, adventurers, and nature enthusiasts as an alternative to our Arenal Volcano Hike.
